Dr. Espanola Jackson was an advocate for the marginalized community and a contributing member of District 10. She was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
We decided to pick up the mantle to carry on the work she started. Collaborating with organizations with the same vision, mission, and goals to uplift District 10 constituents in Bayview Hunters Point.
We will continue the work Dr. Espanola Jackson began in the early 1960’s. Her life mission as an advocate through the social justice lens was to provide fair and shared resources for single mothers, constituents in D10, and entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.
We will step in her shoes as present Pioneers for Civil Rights and engagement.
